Jazmine Sullivan

JazmineJazmine an Sullivan, born in and lived at home in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Pam the mother of Jazmine is an ex-backing singer in the band Philadelphia International Records. At the age of five, older, her father was offered a position as a curator at City's Historic Strawberry Mansion in the Strawberry Mansion section, and her family moved into the mansion's historical site. In 2005, the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts graduated, she is a major in the area of vocal. Sullivan started singing as a contralto in the kids' choir, before joining after a couple of years, she joined the adult choir. Sullivan was not exposed the world of secular music for the first time. "I started singing as a soloist in the church, and someone was urging me to sign up to a gospel record when I was 11. But I wasn't ready for that," she says. "Then the time came that McDonald's had a competition for kids in major cities I had the opportunity to perform 'Accept What God Does' on Showtime on the Apollo and the audience were very supportive". Stevie Wonder sang her part at his 13th birthday. Sullivan was 15 when she, was first signed to Jive Records. There, she recorded an entire album. But the album never came out. Sullivan was eventually removed from the record label. Missy Elliott was her producer for a few songs on the album she released her debut. The track "Backstabbers" performed by Timbaland that Elliott wrote, is a highlight of their working relationship.
